Scholarship to benefit future SGA presidents
Former SGA presidents have established an endowed scholarship to be made in perpetuity to future SGA presidents to recognize the significant contributions in time and talent given to the university.
The scholarship initiative was presented on Sunday, September 28, at the residence of President Timothy D. Sands. Bill Coulbourne, the university’s 2nd SGA president (and oldest living), spearheaded this initiative; other donors include Don and Carolyn Norris, Brian Montgomery, and Sterling and Carly Daniel.
Based on current funding commitments, a total of $60,000 will be paid to the university in the next five years, providing helpful assistance to SGA presidents in recognition of the importance of student voices in the university.
